You may have heard some people say that the best way to be a successful blogger is to start.
You might also have heard that blogging is a great way to bring in some extra income.
But where do you start? What do you need to know?
There is so much information in cyberspace that it can be quite overwhelming at times.
Having a blog doesn't mean you’re an expert on everything related to blogging.
It takes research and practice to become really good at blogging.

How do I start a blog?
Well, first of all, you just need to get started. You don’t have to know it all, this will come in time, trust me.
The most important thing for you right now is to get started and learn as you move. You can start by picking your blog’s name and niche.
I can’t stress this enough; you need a niche.
The internet is oversaturated with information; therefore, you need to niche down a bit in order to be able to succeed.
You can’t decide on a niche? I got you!
Take a piece of paper and write down all the interests you have. After you decide which are your interests, try to group them 3 by 3. Pick the combination that you love the most and start the research. Who does this? How do they do it? What's their mission? You have to know your competitors, you have to know them by heart!
Another thing you can do is research those niches and see which one can be the most profitable for you.
After you decided on your niche, you need to get online. There are countless options for web hosting, I use GoDaddy, but you can pick the one you like.
Now you’ll need to design your website. If you’re a beginner with no design skills I strongly recommend using a free WordPress theme.
Another thing that you can do is creating an account Zebranding
This website will save you a ton of time. You have to answer a few questions about your business and the program will create a full branding book for you. It’s insane. Truly!
Now, that everything is in place, you need to start writing. If you don’t have ideas, you can always make an account on Snazzy.
Snazzy is a website where you can find ideas for any type of content you are creating, from Facebook Ads to Blog Posts, they have it all figured out for you!
Last but not least, you have to promote your blog. You can start small, just ask your friends and family to read and share it and see what happens.
If you have some ads budget, I totally recommend you do at least one Facebook Ad with your blog.
If you nail your audience, you’ll see how your CPC is getting lower and lower.
2. How do I introduce myself to my first blog?
There is something special to each and every one of us. Be your true self. Talk about what ticks you.
I know that your first blog can be something out of your comfort zone, but see the bright side, your evolution starts out of your comfort zone.
Be candid, be helpful and show expertise.
Don’t start to talk about subjects that you can’t handle.
Your readers can smell fear, trust me, and this can make or break your blog.
I am pretty sure you have something to offer as long as you are thinking about starting a blog, it shouldn’t be so hard to get your ideas together.
3. How much a beginner can earn from blogging?
Well, to answer this question, it’s totally up to you.
Even if, a blogger makes usually around 300-500$ a month, if you’re dedicated, convinced and you find a cool niche, you can blow your income to 20.000 - 30.000 $ monthly.
The thing is, to achieve something like this you need to be really good at what you’re doing and you also need a big audience, so don’t expect thousands of dollars after a few weeks.
4. What type of blogs make the most money?
Finance blog: if you have some financial knowledge or even if you are just starting to take care of your finances, you can share your knowledge with the world.
Fashion blog: This is also a very wealthy industry. Women will always need tips, tricks, and new trends regarding fashion and lifestyle. The good thing about this niche? Fashion is an industry that is always changing, therefore, you’ll probably never run out of ideas for your blog. Think hauls from thrift stores, sustainable fashion, minimal fashion, style tips, and tricks, and much more.
Travel blog: Do you remember what everyone’s been through in the past two years? Everyone was stuck at home. Now, slowly, traveling is getting back to normal. You can take advantage of this and make a small business about it.
Marketing blog: Here I am! Marketing blogs are amazing if you really know your s**t. There are a lot of people out there giving wrong advice about how one’s supposed to promote his/her business. If you think you can educate people in this industry, Kudos to you! There are a lot of people who want to find everything about your tips and tricks.
Health and Fitness Blog: After Co-vid had us all just laying around the house, now it’s the perfect time to start that new diet and training. Not everyone can afford to work with specialists, so you can teach them how to live a healthy life.
Mom Blog: I’d say the only experience you need is being a mother. I know you have a lot of tips and trips from your mother, grandmother, and friends. We’re all new to this at some point and we need all the help we can get!
Food Blog: We all need to eat right? Think healthy recipes, fast ones, keto, anything that crosses your mind. People love food! Make it pretty and healthy and you’ll be able to achieve your objectives in no time.
Those are amongst the most profitable niches you can try!
But don't mind me! Here you have some ideas, the most important thing is that you pick something you like, otherwise it will be super hard for you to create content.
You'll find your place!
5. How to make money from your blog?
Let’s say you have a blog, everything goes nice, you have some readers, and now you’re thinking about how to start and monetize it.
I got you!
Affiliate marketing – I know everybody is talking about this, but it’s a moneymaker since the beginning. What is affiliate marketing? Well, sounds easy, but it's kind of complicated.
Long story short, you need to find an affiliate marketing website that suits your needs, after you find a product that you like and you start promoting it in your posts. If you make proper keyword research, you should be able to make people buy that product, using your link. Every time someone buys that product, you get some referral money. Pretty basic, right?
eBooks – If you want to start to create your own digital products, this is the simplest way to do this. eBooks are not high maintenance; they are free or close to free to create and it’s a good starting point.
Freelance Writing – If you’re thinking to start a blog, you definitely like to write. You can try freelance writing or even ghostwriting until you feel you have a big enough audience to sell your own digital products.
Coaching and Consulting – If you want to make good money from coaching or consulting you need to demonstrate expertise in order to have people to consult.
Online Courses – Well, this type of content is pretty hard to create and kind of high maintenance, as you need to update the content from time to time. The good news is that a course can bring you way more money than an eBook because you can sell it anywhere between a few hundred to few thousand based on the info you provide.
Well, lovely, those are the basics if you want to start blogging.
My biggest advice would be to start small and to talk about something that you’re confident in.
There is no right or wrong, see what makes you happy and transform it into your journey.
It’s definitely not easy, but if you start and you just keep on going, you’ll see you’ll have the freedom you deserve!
Hope this guide will help you in the long run and I can’t wait to read your first blog post!
